Frequently Asked Downpayment Program Questions

Please send us any additional questions through our Feedback section and we will respond within 3-5 business days.

To apply to any of our downpayment programs simply call any of our approved lenders and schedule an appointment. They will walk you through the entire application process and will let you know what to bring to your appointment.

See an approved lender to qualify, every file is different and considers various factors including employment history, credit score, debt-to-income ratio, savings etc. A credit score of at least 620 is required for Welcome Home Grant Program and 640 for Mi Casa Grant Program. It doesn't hurt to try, even if your score is lower. Loan officers can help you focus on best areas for improving your application next time, if the file is not approved.
