About Us
The El Paso Housing Finance Corporation (HFC) is an independent entity created pursuant to the Housing Finance Corporation Act by the City Council of El Paso in 1979. The statutory purpose of this non profit corporation is to assist persons of low and moderate income to own or acquire safe, decent, and sanitary affordable housing and to preserve or increase the tax base of the local government. The HFC is governed by a seven member Board of Directors appointed by the Mayor and City Council and has an Executive Director managing day to day operations.
The El Paso HFC has implemented the following programs to meet its mission to provide creative affordable housing solutions in our community:

Multifamily Tax-Exempt Revenue Bonds
Single Family Tax-Exempt Revenue Bonds
Local Non-Profit Direct Lending for Affordable Housing Projects
